Aura Vasquez served as Commission on the LA Board of Water and
Power. She reminds me of Dolores Huerta, maybe a Columbian modern
version. Aura recently ran for LA City Council and nearly
made it and I hope she runs again. She is an amazing advocate for
humankind, plant kind, and all beings. Aura is the quintessential
story of an immigrant that rises in her love of America and the
vision of a democratic republic that serves the people and its
needs.
